Memorial Weekend

What a great holiday weekend we had. This year we decided to go camping. It was lots of fun! We camped at Yogi Bear with the Smit and Weber families! It was nice to get away from home for a long weekend. The children had so much fun playing with each other. We played at the park, went swimming, and sat by the campfire! Dakota loved the Yogi dance party the best! He also got to ride in a go-cart with Bryan. They raced around the track with Jer and Jackson! We had great weather and even got some color! However, those mosquitoes we could have done without!!!
On Monday we took Dakota over to my parents to go fishing in their pond. He was so excited to use his new pole and net. He didn't catch any fish but did get a few frogs and tadpoles. We were also lucky enough to see two huge snapping turtles! Monday night we went for a cookout at the Fregos! The kids played on the swing set and had so much fun chasing each other around the yard. It was a great holiday weekend!

vacation

After a great vacation it is back to the real life! Dakota and I had a great trip to Branson. It took us 12 hours each way to get there, but we made it. We went with my parents to meet up with my brother, his wife and the girls! It was great seeing them again! Dakota had so much fun playing with his cousins. We did not have the nicest weather, but we stayed busy by going to a show and seeing the butterfly exhibit.
Dakota did very well during the long car ride.....for a 2 year old with no sit in him that is! LOL! We kept him bust with movies, toys, and food. I took the driving time to get caught up on my sleep! I know that there will be a lack of it coming in the very near future!
After my 30 week appointment today I found out that I actually only have 9 weeks left! Yikes! That is really not that much time and I have a lot of things to get done! We have scheduled a c-section for the second week in July. However, Bryan thinks this baby is going to come before then. Lets hope not!
We have also been enjoying all the great Tulip Time festivities around town. We watched the Dutch Dancers on Monday and Tuesday. Of course we could not pass up the junk food! All I need yet to satisfy all my cravings is a Carmel apple. I am thinking Kota and I might head downtown for the children's parade tomorrow. It is a toss up. Do I give up a nap or head down town?
