September Already!

Wow! I can not believe I have not posted since July! I missed the whole month of August...I think it was because we were just so busy!
Here is what the Breuker's have been up to....
*I received my in-home child care license and am very busy with kids! They are soooo much fun and Dakota and Colten love having playmates during the day.
*Bryan has been busy working on his race cars...he has one more race at the Allegan County Fair.
*Kota finally pooped on the potty! Yea! For going on the potty he got a new back pack. I can't believe my baby is going to preschool!
*Our new play area is completed...We have a new, huge sandbox for the kids! They love it! Dakota and Corbin can spend hours out there playing racing and monster jam.
*We have been spending these last summer weekends with friends playing at the park and playing in the fountains downtown.
*We had a great weekend up at Silver Lake with Brouwers, Fregos and VanderKamps. The water was great and the kids had so much fun!

We are looking forward to September. Fall time is so much fun! School starts and football begins. What a great time to spend with family and friends!

Colten is 1

On Friday, July 9th we celebrated Colten's first birthday! I can not believe how fast the past year went. My baby is a year old!! I am a little sad...I remember I wanted Dakota to be a year so bad, but with Colten it is different. I don't know when I will have my next baby or if we will have another baby and I want to keep Colten a baby as long as I can.
We did have a great time celebrating. We had a BBQ with family and friends at my parents house. We went fishing and frog catching. We did fireworks and sparklers. Colten got great gifts and had a blast destroying his cake. He was a mess!!! The cake was wonderful and made by my good friend, Angie Cook-Kidwell. It was so cute too!!
I will post pics of the big day soon. I have so many I need to do some sorting and organizing first!

Birthday

On Monday I celebrated my 27th Birthday! I can't believe it!
My mom is the best she took me to MI City for a day of shopping for my day. I got some great deals on pants and some cute scarfs. I also picked up somethings for the boys and Bryan.
I did have a sick baby on my birthday. Colten woke up Monday with 102.7 degree temp. and decided he did not want to keep any of his food down. Happy Birthday to me! It was not all that bad because it did want to cuddle and I do not get that much anymore with him on the move constantly.
For my birthday present from Bryan and the boys I am getting a new cell phone! I can not wait. I will finally be with the times...I can text, talk and serve the web!
I am happy to say that Colten is finally feeling better and we are enjoying this cooler weather by playing outside!

Father's Day

We are so thankful for Bryan! He is such a great daddy and husband! We celebrated Father's Day with a fun filled day together as a family!
Bryan's Father's Day started off with a seconded place finish at the race on Saturday! We were so happy for him...especially Dakota!
On Sunday we attended church and are so thankful for the ultimate Father above! When we came home we had a great steak dinner with all the fixings! It was so yummy! Then we went to the pool at MVP for an afternoon in the sun. We swam, played soccor and basketball, and relaxed. In the evening we went out to the beach for a picnic. We met Bryan's dad and sue there with a picnic from Village Inn. The kids had a great time playing in the sand and watching the boats.
It was such a great day!

workout

This week I hit the gym! I got a free one week trial at MVP. I really like it, but it is a little pricey. Anyway...I am enjoying my free week. The kids love the pool and the Kids Stuff area where they go when I work out.
Last night I did my first ever Zumba class with Kim. We seriously thought someone was taping us to win some mega bucks because if it was shown on America's Funniest Videos it would win!! I am so totally not coordinated and this white girl dancing is not a pretty sight! I guess it was not all a loss...I sweat and shook my booty. Hopefully those pounds keep melting right off. I will keep you posted on how the rest of my week of working out goes! Wish me luck!

Still Around

I know, I know it may have seen like The Breuker Family has totally disappeared from this planet!!! We are still here, we have just been busy. With what... I really don't know, but it seems like we always have something going on.
May has been a busy month because Bryan has started racing. Between races on Saturdays and fixing his car during the week we don't get to see him that much. However, he did have Memorial weekend off and we had great family time together. We ended up spending 4.5 hours at the beach! Loved it!!! The kids had a great time and we all got some color! We also took a couple of long bike rides. Dakota and Colten both love the burley. Besides all the family fun activities we ate really good!! Between BBQs and campfires I probably gained a few pounds!!! It was worth it!
I am not too worried because I have really been trying to work out in someway everyday. I am down about 15 pounds! Go me!! My motivation is the trip we have planned for Florida! I can not wait! I don't know who is more excited me or Dakota...He can not wait to see Mickey!
We had a trip to Tuesink's Farm this month. It was Dakota's first preschool event. He is so excited to begin 3 school. He can't wait to get a back pack. I can't believe how big he is!
Colten is growing too. He will be 11 months soon and I am beginning to plan his first birthday party. He is army crawling all over and is just starting to pull himself up on things. I am not going to lie...I really liked it when he just sat in one place. He is quick and loves to explore...mainly in places where he should not!

We are back!

Finally, I have my computer back!!! It has been way too long. I received a virus and it took out my entire computer. Now I am trying to get caught back up on all my blogs, facebook post and uploading all my pics. I never realized how much i depend on my computer for so many things!

We have been very busy since my last post. The house is still for sale. We are just waiting for the perfect buyer to come a purchase. We are in the process of getting the house re licensed for in-home childcare. We are gearing up to watch children out of the house again a couple of days a week. Bryan and I are also getting ready to sign our baby up for 3 school. I can't believe we are already sending Dakota to school. He will be turning 3 at the end of next month. Colten is getting his helmet off this week. We are so excited about that!

Besides all of that we are really eager for spring and summer!!!!!!

BIG news

Things have been a little crazy at the Breuker house this past week.
1.) We found a house we LOVE...it is in Bentheim in Bentheim Estates right next to the school.
2.) Someone is coming to look at our house on Wednesday...we have been busy cleaning, sorting, purging, painting, etc. Lots of work...hopefully it is worth it!
3.) The biggest news of all...I QUIT my job today. Bryan and I both feel this is what is right for our family at this time. I am keeping my options opened, but if anyone has any leads on jobs anywhere please let me know.
These are all pretty big items for the Breuker's and we have been lifting them all to God...We know he will show us the way and is walking along and carrying us all at the same time with each new thing that comes our way.

For SALE

That is right the Breuker family is putting their house up for sale. I can not believe it! It is exciting and sad at the very same time.
We know it is time for more space and room for the kids to grow and run. However, I can not help but think about all the memories Bryan and I have made here.
We bought this house, our very first home together, in November 2003. We did so much work to it and updated all the rooms to make it our own. This is not only our first house, but also Kota Bear and Colt Bolt's too. Though not very old they have provided the most memories in this house for us. Dakota took his first steps here and the way I can hear Colten laugh even when I am in the next room puts a smile on my face!
However, I know we will find a new home to make even more memories in and a place where our family can grow. We look forward to this new adventure and house hunting period.

Christmas

The Breukers had a great Christmas! The joy of a 2.5 year old is magical! Dakota was really into Christmas this year. When Dakota and his cousin, Corbin, sang happy Birthday to Jesus it just melted my heart!
I do have to say that the boys were very spoiled this year. Dakota could not stay focused on one toy for more than 5 minutes. He just kept moving from one toy to another! Dakota's favorite toys have to be his Geo Trax train system, his Mac truck with Lightning McQueen and his dance cam. (I think Bryan is loving those 3 toys too! I don't know who has been playing with them more!) Colten also got a few toys and some much needed clothes and PJs.
I just love this season! I love spending time with family and friends. There is just something so special about Christmas and New Years! The snow falling at this very moment makes it even more special and memorable.

Bryan is such a great daddy! He loves is boys so much and Kota and Colten adore him! I am so lucky because I have a great husband and two adorable, wonderful boys! God knew exactly what 3 boys I needed! I thank him everyday for them!

Life at the Breuker's

Wow! The Breuker's have been busy! What a fabulous, fun fall we have been having.
We spent some time out at Gun Lake with the family during their Halloween weekend. It was a bit cold, but tons of fun! Kota had fun on his nature walk and enjoyed carving pumpkins with his daddy. At night he dressed in his Pooh costume and went trick or treating to all the campsites. He filled his orange bucket with tons of candy!
In October the four of us went to the Great Wolf Lodge. We had a great time! Dakota was not afraid to go down any of the slides (until he almost fell out of a tube while going down a really fast slide) No worries...Bryan caught him just in time! It was wonderful being in the 80 degree indoor water park while it was cold and rainy outside! We can't wait to go back!
We had a fun Halloween despite the cold! Kota was Pooh Bear and Colten was a bat! We have enough candy to last us a lifetime!!!
We are looking forward to the upcoming holidays and Kota can't wait for the snow to fly!!!

my boys

Wow! I am a mother of a 2 and 1/2 year old and 2 month old! My how the time flies when you have children!
Dakota is 2.5 and is a busy boy! He loves playing with cars and even more loves watching his daddy race cars. Race days are the only days that child sits! Kota cheers his daddy and Uncle Buzz on in the bleachers. He is their biggest fan! His next favorite thing is to get dirty! It never fails a pile of dirt could be 100 yards away and he would spot it. That one mud puddle....he jumps in it! I guess it is a boy thing!
Colten is 2 months already! He is so sweet! I never get anything done because I could cuddle him all day long! He is such a happy baby! He is smiling more and more each day and is beginning to grasp at things. The best thing is that at 2 months old he is sleeping through the night! He usually goes to bed around 9:00 and wakes up around 5 or 6 and then it is back to bed for a few more hours! I think he sleeps so good because he eats so good. He is 13 lbs 11 oz coming in at the 90th percentile mark! Same goes for his length!
I love my boys sooo much! God knew exactly what two to give me! I thank him everyday for my two precious gifts!

Terrible Two's

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! I have a two year old that thinks he runs this household! Please tell me I am not the only one with this problem! Dakota just does not want to listen and continues to act out. Also, tell me what is up with the constant whining!!! Thank goodness I love soooooo much!

A Different World

Wow! It has been a long time since I have posted! I guess that is what a new addition to the family will do to you! Colten Scott Breuker was born on July 9, 2009 at 9:18 in the morning via c-section. He weighed 8 lbs 5 oz and was 21 inches long. He is absolutely perfect! When he was born he looked exactly like Dakota, but now that he is almost 6 weeks old he is looking like himself! LOL!
We have been though a lot since Colten has been born. When he was a week old we ended back in the hospital with an infection that was in his fingers and toes. He spent 48 hours in the hospital and they ran antibiotics through him. They had to put the IV in his scalp! It was not a fun time for Bryan and I. You never want to see your children go through pain! The antibiotics seemed to help!
Dakota loves being a big brother! He definitely has his moments, but for the most part he is enjoying Colten! Dakota looks so big to us now! He talks and acts like a big boy! The other night he told his daddy, "Bryan Breuker you stop!" We laughed so hard! Dakota loves Summer. He has lots of fun playing at Aunt Kim and Uncle Jer's. He loves their monkey pool and slip N slide! We are really bummed that summer is coming to an end.
With summer coming to an end that also means I need to head back to work! This maternity leave has gone so fast. I think because we have been so busy! I actually think going back to work may slow our schedule down a bit.
My goal is to keep on this blog, keep up on my scrapbooking, and to enjoy my family ( no matter how busy I get!)
